How to Apply Menu

Grants must be used solely for the specified project, as set out in the application and the grant offer letter, and the project must not be changed materially without prior written approval from the Foundation.

Unused grant funds must be returned unless otherwise agreed in writing, and notification of unspent funds is required within three months of completion of the project or end of the funding period, whichever is sooner.

Separate accounts must be kept for the grant, which should be treated as a restricted fund, unless the grant offer letter states that the grant is for the general purposes of the charity without restriction.

Reports must be provided as set out in the grant offer letter.

The Foundation may withhold or require repayment of the grant for any of the following reasons:

  • There are any breaches in these conditions or the terms of the grant offer letter.
  • There is insufficient progress in the project.
  • Your charity becomes financially unstable.
  • Your charity is sanctioned by the Charity Commission.

Prior written consent must be obtained for using the Foundation’s name or logo, and specific guidelines must be followed for any publicity.

The Foundation accepts no responsibility or liability in respect of the project being funded by the grant.

These conditions should be read in conjunction with the terms of the relevant grant offer letter.
